Exploring Strategies to Enhance Response to Changing Trade Environment

The Small and Medium Business Corporation announced on the 7th that it had held the "Export Small Giants Capacity Building and Communication Workshop" jointly with the Korea Global CEO Association at the Chungcheong Training Center in Cheonan, Chungnam, on the 6th.


This workshop focused not only on strengthening the ability to respond to changes in the trade environment, such as the recent spread of protectionism following the implementation of reciprocal tariffs by the United States, but also on enhancing technological capabilities, including artificial intelligence (AI), digital transformation, and the expansion of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) practices.

The main programs included: ▲ a seminar by economist Professor Kwak Soojong on "Global Economic Issues and Response Strategies for Small and Medium Enterprises"; ▲ a special lecture on AI adoption strategies and practical cases for small and medium enterprises; and ▲ an information session on key support programs provided by the Small and Medium Business Corporation.


The Small and Medium Business Corporation expects that this workshop will strengthen networks among export-driven small giants, facilitate the sharing of market information such as trade issues, and enhance joint response capabilities by sharing experiences in responding to AI and digital transformation.


Kang Seokjin, Chairman of the Small and Medium Business Corporation, stated, "We will continue to listen to voices from the field and expand practical support in various areas, including policy funding, exports, and ESG."
