The 2026 Yeosu World Islands Expo Organizing Committee (hereinafter referred to as the "Organizing Committee") announced that it will hold the "2026 Yeosu World Islands Expo Promotional Video Contest" until the 21st.
This contest has been organized to increase public interest in the Islands Expo. The contest is open to all Korean citizens, and the theme is open, as long as the entry promotes the Islands Expo in a creative way.

View original imageThose wishing to participate can download the application form from the 2026 Yeosu World Islands Expo website and submit it via email during the contest period.
The Organizing Committee will select the final winners through expert evaluation and an online popularity vote.
A total of 9 million won in prize money will be awarded, including one Grand Prize (3 million won), three Excellence Awards (1 million won each), and six Encouragement Awards (500,000 won each).
The winning entries will be used as promotional materials and at various events organized by the Organizing Committee and Yeosu City.
The results are scheduled to be announced in mid-December, and further details can be found on the 2026 Yeosu World Islands Expo website.
A representative of the Organizing Committee stated, "We hope this contest will serve as an opportunity to raise awareness and interest in the Islands Expo," and added, "We encourage active participation from people of all regions and age groups."

Meanwhile, the 2026 Yeosu World Islands Expo is scheduled to be held from September 5 to November 4 next year under the theme "Islands: Connecting the Sea and the Future" at Dolsan Jinmo District, Gaedo, Geumodo, and the Yeosu World Expo site.
