Back in April, as part of the "2025 Gumi City Overseas Market Development Support Project for SMEs," the city recruited participating companies and selected seven promising local SMEs with competitive products in Vietnam, covering sectors such as information technology, electronics, beauty care, and consumer goods.

Gumi City and the Gumi Electronics & Information Technology Research Institute focused on customized buyer matching based on each company's product characteristics. As a result, they facilitated export consultations worth 9.68 million USD (42 cases) in Hanoi and 3.36 million USD (36 cases) in Ho Chi Minh City.

Among these, nine export MOUs worth 4.85 million USD were signed with eight local companies, securing new export opportunities.

Additionally, the trade delegation visited the KOTRA Hanoi Trade Center (Southeast Asia & Oceania Headquarters) to gain insights into the Vietnamese market and exchange in-depth opinions on strategies for entering the local market.

Kim Jangho, Mayor of Gumi City, stated, "Expanding SME exports is a major driving force for revitalizing the local economy. We will continue to actively support the enhancement of export competitiveness for local companies, including manufacturers, through overseas market development support projects for SMEs."
