Gumi City in North Gyeongsang Province dispatched seven small and medium-sized enterprises to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam from October 27 to November 1, 2025, to promote exports and develop overseas markets for local SMEs. During the visit, the companies conducted a total of 78 export consultations worth 13.04 million USD and achieved the signing of nine local export MOUs valued at 4.85 million USD.

View original imageBack in April, as part of the "2025 Gumi City Overseas Market Development Support Project for SMEs," the city recruited participating companies and selected seven promising local SMEs with competitive products in Vietnam, covering sectors such as information technology, electronics, beauty care, and consumer goods.
Gumi City and the Gumi Electronics & Information Technology Research Institute focused on customized buyer matching based on each company's product characteristics. As a result, they facilitated export consultations worth 9.68 million USD (42 cases) in Hanoi and 3.36 million USD (36 cases) in Ho Chi Minh City.
Among these, nine export MOUs worth 4.85 million USD were signed with eight local companies, securing new export opportunities.
Additionally, the trade delegation visited the KOTRA Hanoi Trade Center (Southeast Asia & Oceania Headquarters) to gain insights into the Vietnamese market and exchange in-depth opinions on strategies for entering the local market.
