Mirae Asset Global Investments Hosts ETF Innovation Conference 2025
Mirae Asset Global Investments announced on the 5th that it held the "Mirae Asset ETF Innovation Conference 2025" at the Four Seasons Hotel Seoul on the 4th.
Mirae Asset Global Investments organized the conference to share innovations and future strategies for the exchange-traded fund (ETF) market. As a market leader, the Mirae Asset Global Investments TIGER ETF highlighted the future direction of the ETF market through three dedicated sessions at the event.
The main topics included a variety of ETF investment strategies that can be utilized within pension accounts. There was also discussion on the use of ETFs amid the inevitable transition to digital assets, such as asset tokenization and stablecoins. Lastly, the conference addressed strategies and case studies for institutional investors leveraging the diverse advantages of ETFs, which resonated with the attendees.
In the first session, Kim Dongyeop, Executive Director of the Mirae Asset Investment and Pension Center, introduced ETF investment strategies for the era of pension withdrawals under the theme "Pension Asset Management and ETFs." He shed light on the role of ETFs in the retirement pension market and the potential for using monthly dividend ETFs as withdrawal products. Kim stated, "The retirement pension market is experiencing a paradigm shift from DB to DC/IRP, from savings to investment, and from accumulation to withdrawal."
The second session, titled "The Future of ETFs: Virtual Assets and ETFs," featured discussions on how to utilize ETFs in the era of a major shift to virtual assets, such as asset tokenization and stablecoins. Kim Jongseung, CEO of xCrypton, analyzed market trends including the strategic transformation of global financial institutions and changes in the financial market brought by stablecoins in the age of digital assets. He also shared overseas cases of digital asset ETFs and the direction of institutionalization in Korea.
The third session featured a presentation and discussion on "ETF Utilization Strategies for Institutional Investors." Ha Jaeseok, a researcher at NH Investment & Securities, examined the characteristics and advantages of bond-type ETFs, which are seeing increased utilization. He explored strategies and risk factors for institutional investors using bond-type ETFs, and presented various strategies and case studies of institutional investors leveraging ETFs.
