Through this agreement, the two companies will begin full-fledged cooperation to enhance customer convenience and benefits using Toss’s digital payment technologies, such as Face Pay and QR payment.
As early as this year, they plan to launch the Face Pay service at Hyundai Duty Free’s Incheon Airport branch and introduce Toss QR payment at the Trade Center branch.
They also plan to run promotions for airport users in conjunction with Toss Smart Pass. Toss Smart Pass is a service that allows passengers to pass through the departure hall and boarding gates at Incheon International Airport using only facial recognition.
With this agreement, Toss aims to expand its partnerships with offline retail partners, including the duty-free industry. The company plans to broaden the user experience (UX) so that customers can make payments more easily and securely in various retail environments. Toss expects this will expand the base of Face Pay users and strengthen brand trust.
