Korea-Canada Defense and Defense Industry Cooperation Conference to Be Held, Chaired by Vice Minister of National Defense
Meetings Scheduled with Canadian Minister and Deputy Minister of National Defence
On November 6, the Korea-Canada Defense and Defense Industry Cooperation Conference, chaired by Vice Minister of National Defense Lee Doohee, will be held in Ottawa, Canada.
According to the Ministry of National Defense on November 4, Vice Minister Lee has departed for Ottawa, Canada to attend the Korea-Canada Defense and Defense Industry Cooperation Conference. This is the second time the Ministry of National Defense is holding the conference in Canada, following the first one in November last year.
The Ministry of National Defense stated that Stephen Fuhr, Canadian Minister of National Defence Procurement, will attend the event and deliver a welcoming address. The conference is expected to feature practical and meaningful discussions on defense and defense industry cooperation between the two countries.
In addition, during his visit to Canada, Vice Minister Lee plans to have in-depth discussions on the future direction of bilateral defense and defense industry cooperation through meetings with the Canadian Minister of National Defence and the Deputy Minister of National Defence. He is also scheduled to meet David Perry, President of the Canadian Global Affairs Institute (CGAI), a leading Canadian defense and security think tank, to exchange views.
