The Small and Medium Business Technology Information Promotion Agency announced on November 3 that it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) at its Sejong headquarters with the Netherlands Organization for Applied Scientific Research (TNO), one of Europe's top three applied technology research institutes, to strengthen global joint technology cooperation.

View original imageEstablished in 1932, TNO is a leading European applied research organization at the forefront of research and development in major industrial sectors such as energy transition, digital innovation, and smart mobility. It also serves as an innovation hub connecting the government, industry, and academia, contributing to the practical application of technology and the enhancement of industrial competitiveness.
This agreement was initiated to promote global open innovation and address technological challenges faced by domestic small and medium-sized venture companies through the 'Global Cooperative R&D Project,' which has been underway by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups since this year.
With this agreement, the Technology Promotion Agency plans to pursue a wide range of collaborative programs, including joint technology development between domestic small and medium-sized venture companies and TNO, technology and personnel exchanges, seminars, and B2B technology matching consultations.
