Who is the strongest in national drone soccer?
The 4th National Busan Science Museum Director's Cup National Drone Soccer Tournament, hosted by the National Busan Science Museum and organized by the Korea Drone Soccer Association, was held on November 1 at the museum's RC Drone Experience Center.
Drone soccer is a cutting-edge sport where teams compete by piloting drones to score goals through aerial hoops using a drone ball. The game demands precise control skills and strong teamwork.
This year's tournament featured 10 teams in the third division league. After intense competition, the following teams claimed the prizes: Grand Prize - Storm (led by Park Minjun), Gold Prize - Youngsangdae24 (led by Eom Taekyung), Silver Prize - Korea National University of Transportation B (led by Jo Youngwoo), and Bronze Prize - MK Drone (led by Park Byungjun).
The winning teams received prize money as follows: 2 million won for the Grand Prize, 1 million won for the Gold Prize, and 500,000 won each for the two Silver Prize teams.
Park Minjun, leader of the winning team Storm, said, "We were able to achieve this great result thanks to our thorough preparation after last year's disappointment as runners-up. I would like to thank the museum and the association for organizing such a wonderful tournament, and I hope drone culture continues to spread in the future."
This tournament brought together participants of all ages, from youth to adults, from across the country, including Busan, Pohang, Gwangju, Chungju, Mokpo, and Sejong, who engaged in passionate matches.
