Imoloji Selected as Lead Company for Armed Forces Medical Command's "AI-Based Mental Health Pre-Screening Technology Project"
Accelerating the AI Transformation of Military Mental Health Care Systems
Imoloji, an AI mental healthcare company, announced on November 3 that it has been selected as the lead company for the "AI-Based Mental Health Pre-Screening Technology Introduction and Demonstration Project" by the Armed Forces Medical Command. Through this project, the Armed Forces Medical Command aims to accelerate the AI transformation (AX) of the military's mental health care system.
This project is designed to efficiently address the growing demand for mental health services among military personnel. The goal is to establish an AI-based psychiatric pre-screening system to enhance the efficiency of medical services and improve accessibility.
Accordingly, Imoloji proposed a systematic system that utilizes AI technology to automatically analyze the emotional state of personnel before consultations and provide pre-screening data to medical professionals.
Led by CEO Ryu Hanuk, a board-certified psychiatrist, Imoloji is conducting research and development that integrates clinical experience in mental health with AI technology. Professor Jo Suhyeon from the Digital Counseling Research Lab at Keimyung University is participating as an expert to verify the psychological validity of the algorithms.
Imoloji's multimodal AI technology comprehensively analyzes various forms of data-including video, voice, and language-to assess psychological signals reflected in facial expressions, tone of voice, and language patterns. With this, the company plans to build an AI-based pre-screening platform capable of capturing real emotional states and psychological changes, going beyond simple questionnaire-based surveys.
The ultimate goal of this project is to improve the overall efficiency and reliability of the military medical system. Imoloji is developing customized algorithms and user interfaces (UI/UX) optimized for military environments to increase acceptance among personnel and achieve tangible improvements in mental health management.
Furthermore, Imoloji is expanding its business into a mental health management platform that enables real-time pre-screening and assessment in remote environments, leveraging the AI analysis capabilities and data processing technologies accumulated through this project. By collecting demonstration data within the military environment, the company expects to lay the foundation for the standardization and global dissemination of mental health management both domestically and internationally.
Ryu Hanuk, CEO of Imoloji, stated, "This project will go beyond a simple technology verification phase to become a leading example of innovation in public healthcare systems using AI technology. Based on the demonstration results in the military, we plan to develop the platform into a scalable solution applicable across both public and private sectors."
