Gyeonggi Tourism Organization to Operate Popup Promotion Center for 10 Alleys in the Province
The Gyeonggi Tourism Organization will operate the 'Gyeonggi Alley Adventure Popup Promotion Center' at Hwaseong Haenggung Square in Suwon on November 7 and 8, where visitors can experience the charm of local alleys in one place.
This event has been organized to widely promote themed alleys in the province and to revitalize alley-based tourism.
The Gyeonggi Alley Adventure is part of the 'Gyeonggi-do Nooks and Crannies Tourism Themed Alley Development Project,' aiming to rediscover hidden local alleys as tourism resources and to create a sustainable, locally centered tourism ecosystem. Since 2020, new and outstanding alleys have been selected and developed each year.
This year, a total of 10 alleys were selected: two new alleys (Yeoncheon Cheotmeorigori and Yongin Bojeong-dong Cafe Street) and eight outstanding alleys (Goyang Samsong Graffiti Art Alley, Dongducheon Camp Bosan Street, Suwon Hwaseong Haengnidan-gil, Siheung Oido Sea Street, Ansan Wongok-dong Multicultural Food Street, Paju Doldari Cultural Village, Pocheon Gwanin Cultural Village, and Hwaseong Jeongok-ri Marina Alley). At this popup promotion center, visitors will be able to experience the unique content and stories representing each of these alleys in one place.
In particular, this promotion center will operate under the slogan "Let’s Go on an Adventure by Taste! Alley Adventure." Visitors can take a simple 'alley type test' on-site to choose one of three types-Taste Collector, Alley Explorer, or Sentimental Traveler-and begin their adventure in the themed zone that matches their result.
Participation in the event does not require prior registration, and pets are welcome.
