View original imageThe United States and China have agreed to establish a communication channel between their military authorities to prevent accidental clashes.
On November 1 (local time), U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth stated on X (formerly Twitter), "I have agreed with Dong Jun, China's Minister of National Defense, that we must establish a military-to-military channel to prevent conflicts and to de-escalate tensions should any issues arise."
Secretary Hegseth also said, "I just spoke with President Trump, and we agreed that U.S.-China relations have never been better than they are now."
He added, "Minister Dong and I agreed that the best path for our two great and powerful nations is peace, stability, and friendly relations," and continued, "May God bless both China and the United States."
