On October 30, Gijang County signed a 'Local Job Win-Win Agreement' with IQ Lab, a company specializing in power semiconductors, and began efforts to expand local talent recruitment and revitalize the regional industry.

View original imageThis agreement aims to establish a collaborative system with IQ Lab, which has recently relocated to Gijang County, in order to create youth-centered jobs and strengthen the local industrial ecosystem.
The signing ceremony was attended by Jeong Jongbok, Governor of Gijang County, CEO Kim Kwonje of IQ Lab, and other officials. Both organizations agreed to develop a sustainable regional economic development model based on mutual trust.
Under the agreement, IQ Lab will give hiring preference to Gijang County residents in future recruitment, and will actively participate in job linkage programs such as field training and internships for local youth and middle-aged residents.
Gijang County plans to strengthen administrative and institutional support to ensure that companies can settle and grow stably, and will establish customized talent development programs and a support system linking the local talent pool.
Kim Kwonje, CEO of IQ Lab, stated, "This agreement with Gijang County is a meaningful starting point for growing together with the local community," adding, "We will realize the value of mutual growth by providing practical job opportunities for local youth."
Governor Jeong Jongbok emphasized, "IQ Lab's relocation to Gijang marks the beginning of fostering the power semiconductor industry and creating local jobs. We will spare no administrative support to help companies grow and residents secure quality employment."

IQ Lab is a company specializing in the development and production of power semiconductor devices and modules, recognized for its technological capabilities both domestically and internationally. Its previous headquarters was in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province, but the company recently moved its operations to Gijang County to utilize the power semiconductor industry cluster and research infrastructure in the Busan-Ulsan region.
