Ulju County to Introduce Ulsan's First "Public Architecture Quality Expert Advisory System"... Full Implementation Next Year
Expert Participation from Design to Maintenance
Expected to Prevent Poor Construction and Defects
Ulju County in Ulsan will be the first in the Ulsan region to introduce the "Public Architecture Quality Expert Advisory System," which will be fully implemented starting next year.
According to Ulju County on October 29, this system is designed to systematically manage the quality of public buildings by involving experts at each stage, from design and construction to maintenance. The goal is to create safe and high-quality public architecture.
To establish the legal basis for this, Ulju County enacted the "Ordinance on the Operation of Public Architecture Quality Experts." Beginning in December, the county will receive recommendations for quality experts in eight fields, including architecture, civil engineering, landscaping, mechanical and electrical facilities, communications, and safety management. These experts will be appointed in February next year, and advisory activities will be fully launched in March.
The quality experts will participate in the entire process of design, construction, and maintenance, checking for construction errors in advance and minimizing potential defects after completion. In particular, expert review from the design stage is expected to reduce unnecessary design changes and lower long-term maintenance costs.
