Donghae City Selects Six Winners in the 2025 "Capture Donghae" Short-Form Contest
Citizen-Driven Promotional Content
Building the Image of "Donghae, a City Full of Stories"
Donghae City in Gangwon Province announced on October 28 that it had selected a total of six award-winning works in the 2025 "Capture Donghae" short-form contest, which was held from July to September. The winners include one grand prize, two excellence awards, and three encouragement awards.
This contest was organized to discover short-form content that captures moving or creative stories about tourism, culture, or travel in Donghae City, expressed in videos of 20 to 60 seconds.
A total of 42 entries were submitted, and citizens from a wide range of age groups-from their 20s to those over 40-participated, demonstrating high interest in the contest.
The city conducted two rounds of judging based on four criteria: creativity, visual quality, entertainment value, and artistry. The scores from each round were combined, and the top six entries with the highest scores were selected as the final winners.
The grand prize went to Kim Minsoo for "Do you want to play Donghae?" The excellence awards were given to Kim Sungcheol for "Solo Trip to Donghae" and Ji Younghoon for "Donghae, the Optimal Travel Destination." In addition, three works received encouragement awards.
The selected works will be used across various channels, including Donghae City's official social media platforms (such as YouTube and Instagram), as well as at festivals, tourism promotion events, and online campaigns. Through these citizen-created contents, the city aims to enhance its image and achieve effective city promotion, especially among Millennials & Gen Z.
