The party criticized the Supreme Court's decision last May to remand the case of Lee Jaemyung, then the Democratic Party's presidential candidate, for a guilty verdict on charges of violating the Public Official Election Act, stating, "Chief Justice Cho Hee-dae blatantly intervened in the presidential election." They also demanded an apology for the ruling and other related actions.
Additionally, the party asserted, "The National Court Administration presided over an emergency meeting on the day of the 12·3 Martial Law. Chief Justice Cho Hee-dae was at the center of this act of rebellion," and called for the full disclosure of the meeting minutes from that time.
