Yanggu County in Gangwon Province is recruiting participants for the "2025 Walking Instructor Training Course" to strengthen residents’ capacity for healthy living and to promote a proper walking culture.

View original imageThis course will be held at the Yanggu County Public Health Center from November 27 to 28, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. The program consists of a total of 16 hours of training-8 hours per day-and is operated as a Level 2 Walking Instructor certification course, including both theory and practical sessions.
The application period runs until November 21, and any Yanggu County resident is eligible to apply. A total of 30 participants will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, and applications can be submitted in person or via email. The training is free of charge, but those wishing to receive the certification must pay a 50,000 won issuance fee. Participants are required to wear comfortable clothing and sneakers, and lunch will not be provided.

An official from the Yanggu County Public Health Center stated, "Through this training course, we aim to foster leaders of local walking clubs and healthy lifestyle practices, thereby creating a foundation for residents to manage their own health.
