The Resonance of Choirs Echoed Through Enthusiastic Citizen Participation
The 1st Changwon Choir Festival, hosted by the Gyeongnam International Choir Organizing Committee and specially sponsored by Changwon Special City, concluded successfully at the Masan 3·15 Art Hall Grand Theater on the 24th and 25th, receiving enthusiastic support from citizens and choir club members.
Held under the slogan "Changwon, a World-Class City of Choirs," the festival created a stage for musical connection that transcended generations and social classes.

View original imageOn the first day, nine teams participated, followed by twelve teams on the second day, presenting both renowned domestic and international pieces as well as original compositions. The festival culminated with all participating teams joining together in a moving performance of "Beautiful Country," creating a moment of unity.
More than a simple competition, the event was structured as a collaborative stage, with each team presenting joint choir performances and introducing new approaches that left a lasting impression on the audience. The audience responded enthusiastically to the resonance and communal energy that choral music provides.
A representative from the Gyeongnam International Choir Organizing Committee stated, "We hope Changwon will grow into a cultural city that communicates with the world through choir music," adding, "We will continue to create festivals where all citizens are connected through music."
This festival was organized as part of the 1st Gyeongnam International Choir Festival and will conclude this year's events with an international choir seminar at Changwon National University on the 29th.
