It aims to provide education and employment linkage information to university students, job seekers, and employees who wish to enter the biopharmaceutical sector.
The "Advanced Industry Talent Development Bootcamp Project" is a five-year (2024-2029) talent development initiative led by the Ministry of Education, with cooperation from Seongnam City, Gyeonggi Province, and 33 bio companies. A total of 7.6 billion won will be invested, with the goal of training 950 hands-on bio professionals through step-by-step, practice-oriented education ranging from beginner (nano-degree) to advanced (minor/convergence major) levels.
At this briefing, the operational direction, curriculum, application procedures, and participation benefits of the "Gachon Biologics Bootcamp Project Group" will be introduced. In particular, anyone interested in the bio and healthcare fields-including current students and alumni of Gachon University, as well as university students, job seekers, and employees based in Gyeonggi Province and Seongnam City-can participate.
The Gachon Biologics Bootcamp Project Group will serve as a hub for advanced industry talent development and plans to operate company-linked internship and employment support programs through hands-on education in the biologics field. Through these efforts, the goal is to strengthen the competitiveness of the local bio industry.
Seongnam City plans to use this briefing as an opportunity to strengthen the bio-artificial intelligence (AI) convergence industry ecosystem centered around Pangyo Techno Valley, actively expand industry-academia cooperation networks, and promote youth job creation.
A Seongnam City official stated, "Seongnam is emerging as a hub for future industries where artificial intelligence (AI), data, medical devices, and bio converge. Through this briefing, we aim to expand opportunities for local youth to grow into future bio professionals and elevate Seongnam as a global bio-innovation city."
