It aimed to strengthen the network for academic-industry-government cooperation among nine local governments in the province, linked through G-Lab (Regional Crisis Response Joint Research Institute), which is being promoted as part of Hallym University's RISE Project, and M-Campus (Micro Campus), which is being advanced under the Glocal University Project. The workshop also sought to expand synergy through linkage and collaboration between the RISE Project and the Glocal University Project.
Approximately 80 participants attended the workshop, including officials from G-Lab and M-Campus local governments in Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, professors in charge of regional problem-solving projects, and staff from relevant departments. They discussed the direction of regional innovation and strategies for mutual cooperation.
The event consisted of a G-Lab and M-Campus council meeting and a regional innovation sharing collaboration seminar. In particular, the seminar featured presentations on topics such as "AI Transition Strategies for Local Governments," "Strategies for Successfully Promoting G-Lab Regional Crisis Response Projects," "Strategies for Successfully Promoting M-Campus Academic-Industry Collaboration," and "Collaborative Programs for Youth Settlement in Local Communities." The university and local governments explored directions for jointly promoting regional innovation projects and establishing sustainable innovation models.
