Park Bom’s “Complaint Filed Against YG” Post Sparks Controversy… Agency Says “Settlements Completed, No Lawsuit Filed”
Amid claims that Park Bom of the girl group 2NE1 has filed a lawsuit against her former agency, YG Entertainment, her current agency has clarified that these allegations are not true.
On October 23, D-Nation Entertainment, Park Bom’s agency, announced through its official Instagram account, “All settlements related to 2NE1’s activities have already been completed,” and added, “The lawsuit document Park Bom posted on social media was never actually submitted.”
The agency further stated, “Park Bom has currently suspended all activities and is focusing on treatment and recovery,” and added, “We will do our utmost to help the artist regain her health.”
Earlier on the same day, Park Bom posted a document titled “Complaint” on her Instagram, along with a message asking people to “find out what YG did to me.” The document stated that she was filing a complaint against Yang Hyunsuk, Executive Producer of YG Entertainment, regarding unpaid earnings.
The complaint alleged, “Earnings that should have been rightfully paid have not been provided for a long period of time,” and claimed, “Profits from all activities, including music releases, performances, broadcasts, advertisements, and songwriting/composing, have not been settled.”
It also stated, “YG did not provide settlement details and not a single proper payment was made to the complainant,” further claiming, “The complainant suffered severe financial loss and psychological damage, which constitutes clear acts of fraud and embezzlement.” The document went on to request “a thorough investigation and strict punishment for the defendant’s illegal actions.”
YG Entertainment has not released any separate statement regarding the post.
