View original imageYoungchun Park, Head of the G&ES Business Division at Hanwha Q CELLS, will deliver a keynote speech on "Artificial Intelligence for Data Center Energy Management" jointly with Uli Homann, Corporate Vice President at Microsoft, at the APEC CEO Summit to be held in Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang Province, from October 28 to 31. They will present a vision for an innovative data center energy management system that enables AI to autonomously recognize and assess the complex energy facilities and systems of data centers, thereby implementing the optimal operational framework.
Park is an expert with over 25 years of experience in energy optimization and power system automation. He previously served as Head of Commercial Internet of Things (IoT) at Amazon Web Services (AWS) before joining Hanwha Q CELLS in 2023. After being promoted to Head of the G&ES Business Division this year, he has been leading next-generation energy-as-a-service business strategies.
Hanwha Q CELLS is currently driving its energy-as-a-service business primarily in the United States, where the rapid adoption of residential solar power, energy storage systems (ESS), and electric vehicles (EVs) is accelerating the transition to distributed energy. By leveraging advanced technologies such as AI and cloud computing, the company supplies power management software that can integrate and automate various energy resources, aiming to stabilize the power grid, enhance energy efficiency, and ultimately increase the value of renewable energy.

Hanwha Q CELLS is also continuously collaborating with Microsoft to develop technologies that improve the efficiency of energy management, storage, and usage. On March 26 of this year, Hanwha Q CELLS participated in the "Microsoft AI Tour in Seoul" hosted by Microsoft, where it unveiled its AI-powered energy management software for the first time. Building on its collaboration with Microsoft in AI and IoT technologies, Hanwha Q CELLS plans to continue developing and launching energy management software to strengthen its position as an energy service provider in major markets such as the United States.
