The province announced that, together with Wonju City, it will set up a Gangwon joint pavilion at the '2025 International Mobility Industry Exhibition (KOAA·GTT SHOW)' held at KINTEX in Ilsan from October 22 to 24, where 14 automobile parts companies from Gangwon will showcase and promote 30 products to domestic and international buyers.

This exhibition, which has been held since 2004, is the only B2B international exhibition in Korea specializing in the mobility industry. Every year, more than 200 domestic and international companies in the automobile parts and mobility sectors participate, presenting products and technologies covering the entire industry, including powertrains, IT and electronic components, materials and chemicals, and alternative parts.

At this year's exhibition, automobile parts manufacturers from Gangwon, led by the Gangwon Future Mobility Industry Association, will participate in product displays, export consultations with buyers, and partnership meetings with existing overseas buyers, targeting both domestic and international markets simultaneously.

The main products on display include: △power transmission systems for future vehicles (such as worm gears), △panoramic sunroofs for automobiles, △steering system modules for automobiles, △bearing molds and press injection molds for automobile parts, △harnesses for future vehicles and mobility, and △filter modules for automobiles (including LPI models).

Gangwon Province continues to collaborate annually with Wonju City to promote overseas marketing initiatives aimed at diversifying export markets and strengthening the global competitiveness of the automobile parts industry.

At the Indonesia International Automotive Industry Exhibition (INAPA Jakarta) in May, 13 companies from Gangwon participated in a joint pavilion and held export consultation meetings with buyers, laying the groundwork for local cooperation.

In November, 25 companies from Gangwon are scheduled to participate in Automechanika Shanghai in China, where they will seek ways to collaborate with automobile parts companies entering the Chinese market, including establishing local subsidiaries.

Kim Manho, Director of Economic Affairs for Gangwon Province, stated, "In the rapidly changing global trade environment, it is more important than ever to minimize the impact on local companies and secure stable new markets. We will make every effort to pioneer emerging markets such as Southeast Asia, Mexico, and India to expand exports of automobile parts, which are one of the province’s top five export items."
