Ottogi to Hold “2025 Soup Bowl” Pop-up Exhibition
Ottogi Soup 55th Anniversary Brand Pop-Up
October 29-31 at Hillrojae, Bukchon
Ottogi announced on October 22 that it will hold the “2025 <Ottogi Eat> Soup Bowl” pop-up exhibition in Bukchon, Seoul, from October 29 to 31, in celebration of the 55th anniversary of the launch of “Ottogi Soup.”
“Ottogi Eat” is Ottogi’s food culture tool development project, combining the concepts of “eat” (referring to food) and “it” (meaning dining tools), with the idea of “connecting” the two. “Ottogi Eat,” which has expanded the diversity and richness of food culture by connecting food, tools, and people, launched the “ramen bowl” in 2023 and the “curry bowl” in 2024. This year, the project continues with its third theme: the “soup bowl.”
This event will introduce the “Ottogi Soup Bowl,” designed to capture warm moments at the dining table. Artists specializing in ceramics from Seoul National University’s Department of Crafts have participated, experiencing Ottogi’s wide range of soup products (powdered, cup, fresco, and refrigerated soups) firsthand and presenting a variety of works that interpret the warmth and leisurely nature of soup from their own perspectives.
In particular, under the theme “Soup Filling the Spaces and Moments of Everyday Life,” collaborative works will be exhibited, including: ▲Soup Bowl & Plate (ceramist Yoo Heesong X artist Mugwasu), ▲Soup Mug (Seoul National University ceramists X Long Black Team), ▲Soup Bowl & Sharing Plate (Professor Han Jeongyong X family), and ▲Onion Soup Bowl (Chef Lim Gihak X ceramist Lee Junho). Visitors will also be able to purchase the soup bowls on site.
The pop-up exhibition will be held at “Hillrojae” in Bukchon, Jongno-gu, Seoul. It will operate as a participating booth in the “Haengbokjakdang 2025” festival, which takes place throughout the Bukchon area, and entry is limited to those with a “Haengbokjakdang 2025” ticket. Tickets can be reserved through Naver Booking.

An Ottogi representative stated, “We planned this project to share Ottogi’s sincere efforts to explore food and dining tools for delicious and enjoyable meals, now through the new medium of ceramics. We hope this exhibition provides an opportunity to share small moments of relaxation at the table, and we will continue to offer enriching food culture experiences through ‘Ottogi Eat’ in the future.”
