Exchange for Nurturing Global Talent
The College of Fisheries Science at National Pukyong University (Dean Kim Youngmok) and the School of Fisheries and Environmental Sciences at Nagasaki University in Japan (Dean Yoshitaka Sakakura) held a joint international academic seminar on October 20 on the first floor of the Dongwon Ocean Hall at Pukyong University.

View original imageThis seminar was organized as an opportunity for the two sister universities to share research achievements in the field of marine and fisheries science and to nurture global talent. Approximately 60 participants attended, including the deans, professors, and graduate students from both universities.
During the seminar, more than 20 research papers and projects by graduate students in the field of marine and fisheries science were presented, followed by discussions and Q&A sessions on a variety of research topics.
National Pukyong University supported this seminar through the Global Blue-Food Leaders Project, aiming to strengthen sustainable development and research collaboration in the marine and fisheries sector.
After the event, active exchange activities continued, including a campus tour of Pukyong University for the participants from Nagasaki University.

Kim Youngmok, Dean of the College of Fisheries Science at Pukyong University, stated, "This seminar was a meaningful opportunity for the next generation of researchers, who will lead the future of the marine and fisheries sector, to experience the importance of international cooperation," adding, "We will continue to expand academic exchanges between the two universities."
