[Photo] "1 Million Won per Share" in Sight... KOSPI Hits Another All-Time High at 3,880
On October 21, the KOSPI surpassed the 3,890 mark during intraday trading, continuing its record-breaking rally. The surge has been fueled by easing trade tensions between the United States and China, robust sales of Apple's iPhone 17, and smooth progress in tariff negotiations between South Korea and the United States. As of 9:17 a.m. on this day, the KOSPI was trading at 3,871.12, up 1.48% from the previous trading day. The index opened at 3,851.01, a 0.95% increase from the previous session, and, bolstered by foreign investor buying, surpassed the 3,890 mark for the first time ever. Samsung Electronics approached the "1 million won per share" milestone, while SK Hynix reached the "500,000 won per share" level. On this day, the KOSPI index was displayed on the electronic board at the Korea Exchange in Yeouido, Seoul.
