Gangwon AI-ro officially launched its service in September 2025 and is currently being used in 212 schools in the province through the first round of applications. With an additional 56 schools joining through the second round, a total of 268 schools are expected to utilize the platform.

The provincial office of education plans to closely analyze feedback from the first group of participating schools to further improve the system. In the first half of next year, it will sign a joint business agreement with 11 metropolitan and provincial offices of education nationwide to expand platform integration and service coverage.

Gangwon AI-ro is a personalized AI teaching and learning platform that provides real-time support for each student's participation. Students can log in with their personal accounts and join classes synchronized with the teacher's screen.

Teachers can easily incorporate multimedia resources such as YouTube and the Educational Broadcasting System (EBS) to create engaging lessons. The platform also enables group collaboration, allowing students to prepare joint presentations or participate in discussions.

In addition, automatic grading and explanation of incorrect answers allow teachers to instantly assess each student's understanding, reducing the evaluation burden on teachers and improving the quality of learning feedback.

In practice, Chuncheon Geumbyeong Elementary School has piloted classes using Gangwon AI-ro, and students have responded positively, saying, "It's easier to focus in class," and "Group activities are more convenient."

Going forward, the provincial office of education will prioritize strengthening teachers' digital teaching competencies and implement detailed action plans to ensure the stable adoption of Gangwon AI-ro.

In the 2026 academic year, the office will provide both online and in-person training for teachers in stages, systematically enhancing their ability to utilize the platform in schools.

Additionally, customized user manuals for teachers will be distributed to each school, and user guidebooks and video materials for students and parents will be produced and distributed before the start of the new semester.

In the second half of 2026, a satisfaction and utilization survey will be conducted among schools using Gangwon AI-ro, and the results will be used to further improve and upgrade the system.

In particular, by compiling outstanding lesson cases from Gangwon AI-ro research and model schools and holding a performance-sharing event, the office aims to help all schools rapidly adopt and apply the platform in their classrooms.

Superintendent Shin Kyungho stated, "Gangwon AI-ro is a symbol of the personalized future education that Gangwon education aspires to," adding, "Through classroom innovation in which both teachers and students are agents of change, we will advance educational innovation that takes personalized education for students one step further."
