"Communicating Through SNS"... Wando County Wins Grand Prize at Korea SNS Awards

County Surpasses 50,000 Followers
Wando County in South Jeolla Province received the Grand Prize in the Basic Local Government category at the 2025 Korea SNS Awards. This marks the second consecutive year the county has won this award.
On the 21st, Wando County announced that it had received this honor at the 15th Korea SNS Awards ceremony held at the LW Convention Center in Seoul on the 16th.

View original imageThis award is hosted by the Korea Social Content Promotion Association and supported by the Ministry of Science and ICT and other related organizations. The social media management capabilities of local governments, public institutions, and private companies nationwide are evaluated based on expert reviews and user participation.
The county earned high marks for its information delivery through an SNS press corps, online and offline integrated events, and content tailored to each channel, including short-form and YouTube content.
In particular, in the user participation evaluation, over 1,700 positive comments were registered, including remarks such as, "They deliver information in a fun way, so I check it every day," and "Even people who weren't interested in Wando end up following."
Currently, the county operates a total of five platforms-Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, KakaoStory, and KakaoChannel-under the name "Hope Wando." As of October this year, the total number of followers was approximately 50,000, an increase of 10,000 compared to the previous year.
