Showcasing the Vision of "Energy Future City"
The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) tournament concluded successfully at Pine Beach Golf Links in Haenam, Jeonnam, owned by BS Group. On the 21st, BS Group announced that the event not only enhanced the brand value of Pine Beach but also generated significant global promotional effects for the nearby “Energy Future City” Solacido.
According to BS Group, the “BMW Ladies Championship 2025,” held from October 16 to 19, was broadcast in over 170 countries, putting Haenam on the world stage. During the tournament, more than 60,000 visitors attended, leading to a sharp increase in sales for the local accommodation, dining, and transportation sectors, thereby invigorating the regional economy.
Pine Beach is a course designed by world-renowned golf course architect David Dale. With this tournament, it solidified its reputation as a prestigious course, earning the nickname “Pebble Beach of Korea.” Before the tournament, the fairway grass was replaced with native Korean gold grass, making it the first course in the country to fully implement this change. In addition, a K-Food zone was operated in the exclusive dining area for the athletes, which received high praise from the participants.
BS Group set up a promotional booth inside the tournament venue to actively promote “Energy Future City Solacido,” which is currently being developed near Pine Beach. Solacido is a public-private urban development project covering a total area of 20.9 million square meters (approximately 6.32 million pyeong), and it receives power directly from a nearby 5.4 GW solar power complex. It is recognized as the optimal location for the nation’s first RE100 (100% renewable energy) industrial complex and an AI data center.
Solacido is also developing residential infrastructure, including a housing complex for approximately 15,000 households, an international school, and medical facilities, alongside the industrial complex.
