This volunteer activity, in which about 50 employees and their family members participated voluntarily, consisted of 'braille educational tool production' to guarantee the reading rights of visually impaired children and the 'Myeongdong Autumn Concert' to provide emotional stability and healing for children with disabilities. These activities offered a meaningful opportunity to share warmth with marginalized neighbors.
The 100 'braille educational tools' carefully made by employees and their families on this day will be delivered to households with visually impaired children through welfare centers for the disabled. The distributed braille educational materials are expected to be effectively used for braille education, providing practical support for improving braille literacy rates among visually impaired children.
In particular, after the 'braille educational tool production' volunteer activity, the 'Myeongdong Autumn Concert' was held at 'Hana Play Park,' the brand experience space at Hana Financial Group's Myeongdong headquarters. The concert, which captured the deepening autumn atmosphere, featured a performance by 'Symphony S.O.N.G,' an orchestra led by conductor Ham Shinik. Children with disabilities, who have fewer opportunities for cultural experiences, were invited to the event, where they created warm memories and shared emotional connections with employee and family volunteers.
Meanwhile, October includes 'White Cane Day,' designated to protect the rights of the visually impaired and raise social awareness and consideration, as well as 'Culture Day,' established to promote the importance of culture and the arts and encourage public interest and participation. This volunteer activity, which combined cultural elements, holds significant meaning in terms of fulfilling the social responsibility of the financial sector.
An employee of Hana Financial Group who participated in the volunteer activity with family members said, "I felt nothing but happiness throughout the volunteer activity, knowing that even small actions for marginalized neighbors could bring bright and healthy energy to the local community. What remains especially memorable is the 'Myeongdong Autumn Concert,' where everyone who visited Myeongdong on a cool autumn day could find comfort and a brief respite."
