On the 15th, JTBC's "Incident Commander" reported on the case of a newlywed couple who had booked a same-day stay at the accommodation through a travel application. According to the report, just one to two minutes after the reservation was received, the employee called the husband to reconfirm the "same-day booking." However, 15 minutes later, the husband abruptly demanded a refund, saying, "The location is too far." The employee explained, "That is difficult due to our policy." In fact, most accommodation providers do not allow free cancellations on the day of check-in.

At this point, the wife took over the call and protested in an agitated tone. She questioned, "My husband just paid, so why can't we cancel?" During the call, she hurled insults such as, "Don't act up when you only make 2 million won a month," "You're just a [expletive]," "All you do is take reservations there," "I'm a master's degree holder, but you're just a high school graduate doing this kind of work and picking fights," "Even if you work there your whole life, you won't measure up," and "I'll post about this on blogs and media to ruin your reputation," among other derogatory remarks.

"This should not be overlooked"... Business announces legal action

After saying, "I'll come today, so apologize to my face," and hanging up, the wife actually visited the accommodation and continued her verbal abuse. The business owner offered, "If you apologize to our employee, we will do whatever you want, including a refund," but the wife refused to apologize. She even went so far as to insult the employee, saying, "You look like a monkey." As the situation escalated, the accommodation facility reported the couple to the police for obstruction of business.

However, the wife later posted critical comments about the business on her social media account, displaying a brazen attitude. A representative from the accommodation stated, "After the incident, we held a meeting with our staff, and everyone agreed that this should not be overlooked," adding, "We will pursue all possible legal avenues, both criminal and civil."

Online users who read the story commented, "They should reconsider this marriage," "What's the point of a master's degree if your character is like an elementary school student's," "Is being a master's degree holder who thinks money can buy everything your life's greatest achievement?" "Listen to the recording; it made me tremble with anger," "The owner who protects their staff is admirable," and "A satisfying conclusion is needed."
