Goseong County Launches Workation Program for Gangbuk Youth Startup Maru Participants
Goseong County in Gangwon Province, which aims to become a hub city for the peace economy, announced that it is running the 'Local Content Expert Discovery Program for Youth,' featuring young participants from Gangbuk Youth Startup Maru in Gangbuk District, Seoul. The program will take place throughout Goseong from October 15 to November 11, 2025.
This program was organized to allow young people from the Gangbuk area to experience Goseong’s natural and cultural resources, create local content, and discover models for regional coexistence through exchanges with the local community.
During their stay, around 20 young participants will take part in a variety of activities, including operating and experiencing booths at the Pollack Festival, participating in the Myeongpa Village Artcation Festa, beachcombing and plogging at Songjiho, woodworking at Blackwood Workshop, and attending a seminar for young entrepreneurs. They will also receive training in planning and producing short-form content and will create their own video content.
Goseong County will provide a workation space at the Geumgang Nuri Center, enabling remote work for the participating youth, and will offer administrative support such as local specialty products.
Ham Myungjun, Mayor of Goseong County, stated, "Through this workation program, I hope that young people will directly experience the charm and potential of Goseong. We will actively support the combination of youth creativity with local resources so that it can become a new driving force for Goseong’s development."
