Myungkoo Kang, a member of the National Assembly (People Power Party, Gumi Eul, Gyeongbuk), has been selected as the "People Power Party's Outstanding Member of the Day" at the 2025 National Assembly audit, following his recognition last year.
During the National Assembly audit held by the Agriculture, Food, Rural Affairs, Oceans and Fisheries Committee on October 14, Assemblyman Kang strongly criticized Minister Song Mireyong of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. He questioned President Jaemyung Lee's decision to film a variety show to promote K-Food during the national network paralysis incident, stating, "Shouldn't you first properly conclude the Korea-U.S. tariff negotiations?"

Assemblyman Kang also addressed local issues, urging the ministry to resolve the solar power grid connection for farms waiting after applying for grid linkage prior to the creation of "Sunlight Income Villages." He further called for rational improvements regarding the area-based direct payment, pointing out that there are cases where the payment for exceeding 0.5 hectares of farmland is less than the small farm direct payment.
