In particular, innovative attempts such as interviews utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) received high praise.
Currently, the council operates four SNS channels: a blog, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. With a data-driven content strategy, it has achieved a total of 100,000 subscribers and 30 million annual views. Through infographic short-form videos, webtoons, and AI interview content, the council continues to strengthen citizen participation and engagement.
Its flagship content, the "Soda Pop Challenge," features Chairperson Choi Hojung, council members, and secretariat staff visiting animated landmarks of Seoul, set to the globally popular dance short-form video of K-Pop Demon Hunters. The simultaneous appearance of council members and staff generated significant public attention.
"Council Member Chaterview" is a short-form interview series that humorously showcases the human side of council members through conversations with AI, helping to build a friendly image of the council. "Weekly Council On" summarizes key activities each week, dynamically presenting the council at work for citizens. Additionally, "Ordinance Shortform" and collaborative webtoons with popular Instagram cartoonist Saenagom reinterpret ordinances through real-life examples, making them easy for anyone to understand.
Chairperson Choi Hojung stated, "The Seoul Metropolitan Council will continue to get closer to citizens with fun and trendy SNS content."
