About 40 people participated in the joint patrol, including students from the Department of Police Administration at Kyungwoon University and members of the Indong and Jinpyeong Volunteer Crime Prevention Units.

The participants were divided into two patrol teams and walked a route of approximately 2 kilometers, starting from Indong Police Box and focusing on the areas around Rodeo Street and Indong Elementary School. They conducted crime prevention diagnosis activities, such as inspecting crime prevention facilities.

Since June, the Gumi Police Station has been conducting resident participation QR Crime Prevention Diagnosis together with volunteer crime prevention units, focusing patrol activities on local parks, public restrooms, and multi-use facilities. To date, a total of 4,221 pieces of crime prevention diagnosis data have been collected. The identified crime-prone factors are being addressed through collaboration with related organizations, including Gumi City, to alleviate residents' anxiety factors.

The chief of Gumi Police Station stated, "This cooperative patrol among civilians, police, and academia is a good example of the local community building its own safety network," and added, "We will continue to promote community-based participatory policing to make Gumi a safer city from crime."
