Gyeongbuk Development Corporation (President Lee Jaehyuk) announced plans to expand the opening of public data based on an advanced 'AI and Informatization Strategy Plan.' The goal is to promote the public's right to know by activating data openness, discover and release high-value data that can be used in AI and data sectors-key areas for the government's new growth engines.
Gyeongbuk Development Corporation has continuously gathered public opinions through various channels such as nationwide surveys, public data contests, and collecting feedback via social media, in order to identify data that meets public demand. As a result, the corporation has released a variety of high-quality datasets through the Public Data Portal and achieved major accomplishments in public data, including earning an 'Excellent' grade in the recent public data management evaluation.
This year, Gyeongbuk Development Corporation is focusing on two main directions: 'enhancing private sector utilization' and 'system advancement.'
To enable practical use of data in the private sector, the corporation has completed the identification of AI-friendly, high-value data. After conducting quality checks for time series and completeness, it plans to release these datasets within the year. This includes architectural blueprints and photos of project sites taken by drones.
