Hanma Academy at Gyeongnam National University Ranks 8th in Foundation-University Financial Soundness in the 2025 University Foundation Evaluation
Proving Financial Support Capacity and Operational Transparency for Universities
Hanma Academy, which operates Gyeongnam National University, ranked 22nd overall in the "2025 University Evaluation Institute (INUE)·Korea Economic Daily University Foundation Evaluation," which was conducted for the first time this year. In particular, it ranked 8th nationwide in the foundation-university financial soundness category, earning recognition for its capacity to support university finances and its sound operational system.
The University Evaluation Institute and Korea Economic Daily announced the results of the "2025 University Foundation Evaluation" on October 13, targeting 83 foundations nationwide that manage private universities with more than 5,000 students.
The evaluation comprehensively analyzed the financial soundness of university foundations, their financial support capabilities for universities, and sustainability. The evaluation items consisted of three main categories and 14 detailed indicators: ▲ Foundation Financial Soundness (40%), ▲ Foundation-University Financial Soundness (20%), and ▲ Sustainability (40%).
As a result, Hanma Academy ranked 36th (9.03 points) in Foundation Financial Soundness, 8th (14.43 points) in Foundation-University Financial Soundness, and 23rd (22.65 points) in Sustainability, achieving an overall ranking of 22nd (46.10 points).
In particular, in the Foundation-University Financial Soundness category, Hanma Academy received high scores in the evaluation indicators for ▲ Tuition Dependency Rate or Personnel Expense Ratio (10%), ▲ Debt Ratio (5%), and ▲ Current Donations to the Foundation and University (5%), earning recognition for its ongoing efforts to ensure stable university operations and financial transparency.
