Gwangju Office of Education to Hold "2025 Gwangju Dream Path Career Fair"
The Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education announced on October 14 that it will hold the "2025 Gwangju Dream Path Career Fair" on October 18 at Hosimgwan Hall, the gymnasium, and the lawn area of Gwangju University. This event, themed "A Guide to Finding Your Dream," is designed to support students in exploring and planning their career paths tailored to their aptitudes, interests, and talents.

View original imageThe fair will feature a variety of programs, including career interest assessments, one-on-one customized career counseling, hands-on experience booths, special lectures and talk concerts on career development, award ceremonies and exhibitions for contests, and a career concert with the educational community. Participation is open to students from the fourth grade of elementary school and above. The one-on-one counseling sessions held in the gymnasium will be divided into 15-minute sessions for fourth and fifth graders and 45-minute sessions for middle and high school students.
Applications can be submitted through the Gwangju Career and College Counseling Center website, and out-of-school youth are also eligible to apply. On-site registration will also be available for some programs on the day of the event.
On the lawn area, 41 hands-on experience booths will be operated by local universities such as Chonnam National University, Gwangju University, Dongkang College, and Dongshin University, as well as partner institutions including the Gwangju Media Center, National Gwangju Science Museum, Gwangju Regional Meteorological Administration, and Korea Fiscal Information Service. Students will have the opportunity to experience various professions firsthand, such as broadcasting, meteorological career coaching, and AI web development.

In the main auditorium of Hosimgwan Hall, there will be a special lecture by startup attorney Jang Younghwa titled "Preparing for Jobs That Do Not Yet Exist," and a lecture by teachers Kim Seonga (Gwangju Seo Elementary School) and Cho Seola (Munjeong Girls' High School) titled "How to Prepare for the High School Credit System." Award-winning entries from the career contest will be exhibited in the lobby on the first floor of Hosimgwan Hall.
