Emotional Stability and Vitality Enhancement Effects
On October 13, Gijang County announced that Cheolma Urban Agriculture Park, the first urban agriculture park in Busan, is receiving a positive response for its customized garden education program for seniors.
The main programs include "Our Neighborhood Senior Mind-Cultivating Garden" and "Healing for Body and Mind, Green Prescription for Vitality." Through a variety of agricultural experiences and educational activities, these programs are bringing about positive changes in the health and emotional well-being of local seniors.
"Our Neighborhood Senior Mind-Cultivating Garden" was held twice, once in the first half and once in the second half of the year. Forty seniors residing in Gijang County participated, experiencing a range of activities such as garden cultivation education, crop cultivation practice, and hands-on agricultural product making.

In the second half of the year, the "Healing for Body and Mind, Green Prescription for Vitality" program was also conducted for seniors at the senior welfare center. A hands-on experience space was created directly at the welfare center, where it is difficult to establish a garden, offering the joy of growing crops and opportunities to boost vitality in daily life. The program has also been evaluated as helpful for alleviating depression and supporting emotional recovery.
