Gwangyang City Holds '2026 New Policy Report Meeting' to Detail Municipal Strategy
Reviewing Project Feasibility and Policy Effectiveness
Gwangyang City, South Jeolla Province (Mayor Jung Inhwa), announced on the 13th that it held the '2026 New Policy Report Meeting' on the 10th at the city hall's Creative Room to further develop the municipal administration strategy for the final year of the 8th popularly elected term.
This meeting was organized as an additional session following the major work report meeting in August, and was intended to review the implementation plans for new policies ahead of the 2026 main budget formulation.

View original imageThe meeting, presided over by Mayor Jung Inhwa, was attended by the vice mayor, heads of bureaus and offices, and 51 department heads who reported a total of 101 new projects. The feasibility and ripple effects of projects closely related to citizens' daily lives were given particular attention.
The city focused on enhancing the completeness of future municipal operations by re-examining the feasibility and interdepartmental collaboration systems for practical, citizen-oriented policies that directly address public inconvenience and improve quality of life, as well as strategically refining core tasks for 2026.
Mayor Jung emphasized, "Since 2026 marks the final year of the 8th popularly elected term, it is crucial to select feasible policies and strengthen our drive to implement them," and requested, "Please ensure that citizens receive tangible benefits through interdepartmental collaboration and by making implementation plans more concrete."
