Through this project, Gangdong District plans to build a map-based web service that provides a comprehensive view of public facility demand and supply, and to establish design guidelines for high-quality public architecture.
Previously, the work related to donated facilities was handled separately by each department, but it will now be managed in an integrated manner by a dedicated organization. In the preliminary stage, the district will conduct a full survey and analysis of public facilities, offering location-specific facility demand data through a map platform. During the planning stage, a "Donated Facility Decision Council" will be operated to determine the purpose and scale of each facility. In the design and construction stages, a checklist-based quality inspection and consultations with public architects will be used to strengthen quality management until completion.
Through these measures, the district aims to make it easier for residents to check the locations and status of public facilities in their neighborhoods, address facility imbalances between regions, and improve the quality of donated facilities.
