"I Am Waiting for You"... Colorful Autumn Leaves on a White Canvas at Yeongyang Birch Forest
The Birch Tree's Symbolic Meaning:
"I Am Waiting for You"
As the area prepares for frost, colorful autumn leaves descend upon the white forest deep in the valleys of Jukpa-ri, Subi-myeon, Yeongyang County, turning it into a vibrant canvas.
The "Yeongyang Birch Forest," which has been selected as a "Premium National Forest," is the largest birch forest in South Korea, spanning an area equivalent to 40 soccer fields. It is rapidly emerging as a must-visit trekking destination.
Course 1 is 1.49 km long, and Course 2 is 1.52 km, both featuring gentle slopes, making them ideal for beginner hikers and families.
Climbing the trail to the observatory allows visitors to take in a panoramic view of the birch forest from an altitude well over 800 meters. The colorful autumn foliage blooming among the densely packed white birch trunks offers a unique and moving experience, unlike the typical maple leaves.
