Han Sohee's Side: "Simple Mistake, No Other Intention"
Actress Han Sohee explained that she had "liked" a social media post uploaded by Lee Junseok, leader of the Reform Party, by mistake after the incident spread online. Numerous harsh criticisms appeared on various online communities, with many accusing her of revealing a political stance.
On October 6, Lee Junseok revealed an apology letter he had received from one of the internet users who had spread false information claiming he was following explicit accounts. Lee stated, "After receiving reports of groundless rumors, I checked and found that supporters of a particular politician were continuously spreading this content," adding, "When I announced legal action, one of the perpetrators sent a handwritten letter of apology."
After it became known that Han Sohee had liked the post, screenshots of the incident quickly spread across online communities. Some users posted harsh comments such as, "Was Han Sohee a supporter of the fourth candidate?" and "Now she's showing her political colors."
As the controversy grew, Han Sohee removed her like from the post. Her representatives explained, "It was simply a mistake and there was no other intention."
