Wonju City Holds Safety Prayer and Memorial Service for New Columbarium Construction at Wonju Memorial Park
Wonju City in Gangwon Province held a safety prayer ceremony and memorial service on the 2nd in connection with the construction of a new columbarium at Wonju Memorial Park, which is being promoted to expand public burial facilities as the current columbarium is expected to reach full capacity by the end of next year.

With the construction of the new columbarium, Wonju City will secure an additional 10,000 enshrinement spaces, thereby establishing a stable supply of burial facilities. The city expects that citizens will be able to use these facilities with peace of mind until 2033.
