All 243 local governments nationwide participate in this event.
The city received high marks for planning job creation projects focused on four key areas: ▲ regional industry growth, ▲ strengthening governance, ▲ youth-focused support, and ▲ customized support for different social groups.
In particular, the city was highly praised for its ▲ sector-specific startup support services to strengthen the self-sufficiency of early-stage entrepreneurs, ▲ "Goyang Customized Senior Job Market Project," which generates income for seniors, ▲ "Goyang Customized Job School," a tailor-made employment training program in collaboration with hiring companies, and ▲ efforts to improve job quality in various sectors that contributed to establishing the "Goyang-style" work culture.
Despite the local employment crisis, the city achieved record-high overall employment rates, as well as the highest employment rates for women and middle-aged workers. Last year, it created 46,075 jobs, exceeding its target of 43,736 jobs by 2,339 (achieving 105.3% of its goal).
