Introduction of the "Our Neighborhood Plus" Administrative Innovation Platform
Easy Disposal of Large Waste Items and Access to Local Information at a Glance
"Easily dispose of large waste items using your mobile device."
On October 2, the city of Siheung, Gyeonggi Province, announced the official launch and operation of its digital administrative innovation platform, "Our Neighborhood Plus," to enhance citizen convenience and improve administrative efficiency.
"Our Neighborhood Plus" is an integrated platform that allows users to handle everything from the easy disposal of large waste items to accessing local information in one place. The platform offers features such as 24-hour large waste disposal requests, item submission via photo attachment, simple payment, and real-time status tracking.
The platform especially improves accessibility for foreign residents by providing information in multiple languages, including English, Chinese, and Vietnamese.
With the introduction of this platform, the process for disposing of large waste items in Siheung will shift from the traditional sticker purchase method to a mobile app-based, contactless application system. The city expects this change to reduce unnecessary administrative costs associated with sticker purchases.
Additionally, the city stated that the platform enables the rapid delivery of various municipal information to citizens, such as disaster alerts, emergency notices, welfare and support funds, and local events.
The "Our Neighborhood Plus" app is available for free download on Google Play and the Apple App Store.
