SKT Launches 'T Safe 24-Hour Security Center' to Strengthen Security Across Distribution Network
Deployment of "T Safe Guardians" Trained in Security Expertise
SK Telecom has introduced an innovative information security plan for its distribution network to further enhance security at customer touchpoints. The company has opened the 'T Safe 24-Hour Security Center,' which operates 24/7 year-round, and will provide security consultations at retail stores nationwide, aiming to establish a multi-layered security network across both online and offline channels.
On October 2, SK Telecom announced that it has established a dedicated center capable of responding to security incidents at any time, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, expanding beyond the existing customer center that previously operated mainly during weekday business hours. The 'T Safe 24-Hour Security Center' offers immediate blocking and emergency response to phishing, smishing, and hacking; preventive services and support for reporting to relevant authorities to prevent secondary damage; and comprehensive one-stop support from damage investigation to compensation and post-incident management.
Offline retail stores are also being transformed into security hubs. SK Telecom is deploying 'T Safe Guardians,' who have completed security training, at approximately 2,500 T World stores nationwide, designating them as 'T Safe Stores.' These stores provide specialized services ranging from prevention to post-incident response, including mobile phone security settings, assistance with signing up for security services, verification and blocking of damages in the event of an incident, and guidance on reporting. The company has also introduced training programs in collaboration with the National Police Agency and professional profilers to enhance on-site response capabilities.
For customers accessing T World, the 'T Safe Briefing' feature is available. This consists of three areas: network security, call security, and safe consultations. Customers can easily check the status of USIM protection and spam-blocking services, the AI-based suspicious call auto-blocking feature (A.Dot), find nearby T Safe Stores, and access 24-hour consultations.
