Gyeongnam Information University was recognized as a distinguished institution for lifelong education and received a commendation from the Mayor of Busan at the '2025 Busan 50+ Job Fair' held at Dasom Hall in Busan Citizens Park on October 1.
Gyeongnam Information University has supported career development and retirement preparation for the "new middle-aged" generation experiencing life transitions such as retirement, through the '50+ Life Redesign University' lifelong education program conducted in partnership with Busan Metropolitan City. The university was highly praised for its systematic educational management and community engagement, which contributed significantly to establishing a culture of lifelong learning in the Busan region.
Over the past three years, 150 participants have joined the '50+ Life Redesign University' program, which offers practical, hands-on courses such as brunch cooking, barista training, and baking and pastry making, supporting new challenges for the new middle-aged generation.
Since establishing the region's first lifelong education center in 1977 and operating it for 48 years, Gyeongnam Information University has built an adult learner-friendly educational environment. Through this, the university provides tailored educational services and has established itself as a leading lifelong education institution in the community.
