More than 50 participants, including Yangsan City officials, the Nambu Market Merchants’ Association, various consumer organizations, and price monitoring agents, engaged with citizens visiting the market, creating a lively atmosphere.
Participants emphasized the importance of using traditional markets, called for active cooperation in stabilizing prices, and provided information needed for Chuseok holiday preparations.
Nambu Market, in particular, is a well-known destination that holds a regular five-day market on the 1st and 6th of every month, attracting many visitors from neighboring areas such as Busan, Ulsan, and Miryang. With over 200 stores clustered within an arcade, the market offers a pleasant shopping environment regardless of the weather and supports convenient shopping for citizens through its modernized system. Additionally, the delivery service for traditional market goods via the Yangsan Sarang Card app makes it even easier for consumers to use the market.
The city expects that this campaign will not only revitalize traditional markets but also encourage greater social interest and participation in price stabilization, making the upcoming Chuseok holiday even more abundant.
Furthermore, from September 30 to October 13, the city has designated a two-week special period for Chuseok holiday price stabilization measures, focusing on the following areas: monitoring price trends of holiday essentials, enforcing price labeling, verifying country of origin labeling, and managing food hygiene standards.
