The Korea Local Finance Association (Chairman: Jung Sunyong, hereinafter referred to as the Association) held an Integrity and Human Rights Monitoring Group meeting on the 23rd, led by Standing Auditor Jung Songhak, to strengthen internal controls and foster an anti-corruption and integrity culture within the public sector. On the 25th, the Association also conducted anti-corruption and integrity training for all executives and employees.

View original imageThe Association operates an Integrity and Human Rights Monitoring Group composed of external experts in the anti-corruption and integrity fields, such as professors and lawyers. This group has strengthened its advisory function to proactively identify and improve unreasonable systems and practices within the organization.
The meeting held on the 23rd focused on discussions regarding the 2025 anti-corruption and integrity policy implementation plan, intensive improvements in areas vulnerable to corruption, and strategies for spreading a culture of integrity and building consensus. In addition, by sharing best practices in integrity initiatives, the meeting presented concrete action plans to enhance internal controls and conducted an in-depth review of effective performance creation strategies.
The Association has also strengthened activities linked to training in order to enhance the effectiveness of its anti-corruption and integrity policies and to establish a culture of integrity within public institutions. The integrity training held on the 25th included group education focused on key laws such as the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act, the Conflict of Interest Prevention Act, and the Code of Conduct for Public Officials, as well as recent audit cases.

Jung Songhak, Standing Auditor of the Association, stated, "The advisory role of the Integrity and Human Rights Monitoring Group and integrity education for executives and employees are essential foundations for making our Association's integrity policies more effective. The internal control system will be proactively strengthened by management, while audits will serve consulting and coaching functions, contributing to the spread of an anti-corruption and integrity culture throughout the public sector."
