[Bitcoin Now] Prosecution Conducts Search and Seizure at Virtual Asset Exchange 'Coinone'
The prosecution has launched a compulsory investigation into Coinone.
The Virtual Asset Crime Joint Investigation Unit of the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office, led by Chief Prosecutor Lee Sanghyeok, announced on September 30 that it is conducting a search and seizure of Coinone's office in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, as well as the residences of suspects.
Coinone explained that the case in question has already been concluded. Coinone stated, "This was one of the issues pointed out during the comprehensive inspection by the Financial Supervisory Service in March this year," and added, "Regarding the Yellow Mobile case in 2017, Coinone ultimately won the case as the victim."

The company further emphasized, "We provided sufficient clarification to the Financial Supervisory Service during the comprehensive inspection," and added, "At the request of the Financial Supervisory Service for additional confirmation, the matter is now being handled by the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office." Coinone also stated, "The report about a search and seizure of CEO Lee Sunghyun's residence is completely untrue."
